workout@lifestyles offers a variety of exercise classes (with over 65 per week) designed to cater for all ages, abilities, and levels of fitness.


We run a range of fitness classes at Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre, from traditional favouties such as Aerobics and Pilates to favourites from Body Training Systems such as BodyAttack, BodyCombat and BodyJam .Whether you want fun, energetic group sessions or relaxing, chill out sessions you can find the class to suit you. Class Descriptions


Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Aqua Natal  Aqua-Natal – Light and Easy exercise session in the pool for pregnant mums. Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Aqua Blast AquaBlast – A fast, fitness focused, water-based workout using aerobics and resistance exercises to raise that heart rate and burn off those calories.
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Aqua Blast AquaBlast – A water based workout that is focused on toning and shaping that body, using a combination of low impact aerobic and weights exercises. Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre BodyAttack BodyAttack™ - is the sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards their fitness goals – from the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor!
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre BodyBalance BodyBalance™ - is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance. Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre BodyCombat  BodyCombat™ - is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre BodyJam  BodyJam™ - is the cardio workout where you are free to enjoy the sensation of dance. An addictive fusion of the latest dance moves and hottest new sounds puts the emphasis as much on having fun as breaking a sweat. Funky instructors teach you to move with attitude through this 55-minute class. So grab a friend, get front and centre and get high on the feeling of dance. Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre BodyPump BodyPump™ - is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you came for – and fast!

BodyPump Technique Clinic (Beginner to advanced) – Education on correct technique, body position and exercise execution for the beginner.
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Core Stability  Core Stability –New innovative exercise class with interesting moves and techniques, working on balance, flexibility and core muscular strength using a stability ball. Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Core Nifty and Fifty 50+  Fifty and Nifty (50+) – A low impact class helping to unwind all those aches and pains for the young ones amongst us.
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Gym Cirsuits & Abs Blast Gym Circuits & Abs Blast – Fun workout in a gym
environment using CV equipment, resistance and floor
exercises followed by a 10 minute abdominal session to tighten up those wobbly waistlines.
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Junior Lifestyles Club Junior Lifestyles Club* – Why not come and enjoy a fun filled gym workout, followed by a session in the pool, finished off with a discounted snack from our lifestyles café.
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Gym Legs Bums & Tums Legs, Bums & Tums – A medium paced class targeting those troublesome areas. Designed to tone and shape the lower body with minimal impact, sculpting those areas you love to hate. Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre OutBox OutBox - Endorsed by David Haye, Out Box is Pure, Professional, Boxing Education, designed specifically for the fitness industry. It is a group training class, which will push you to your limits.
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Pilates Pilates – Body conditioning workout that works the postural muscles, helping to re-balance the body. A great way to relieve stress and unwind after a hard day at work. Progressive Pilates is for the more experienced exerciser. Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Relax & Tone Relax and Tone – This class is designed to relax your muscles and mind. Increase your flexibility and tone your body with this superbly conrolled class.
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Step Step – A fun and energetic cardio workout predominantly targeting those lower body muscles. An excellent class for improving fitness and burning fat. Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre X-Biking  X-Biking – X-Biking is the fastest growing indoor group cycling exercise which works the upper body and core as well as the legs! X-Biking is a total body workout combining indoor and outdoor cycling in a safe, controlled and exciting environment.
Saxon Pool & Leisure Centre Yoga  Yoga – A great way to de-stress and relax, helping to improve flexibility and co-ordination.
